The M230 is available in 2 versions: the M230-1S only has components on the top side. The bottom is flat. This allows it to be mounted in the compact Nano aluminum enclosure. The M230-2S is fully populated on both sides of the board.

The Nano/NX to TX2 adapter is an add on module for TX2 carrier boards. With this adapter board you can plug it on a TX2 carrier board and run a Jetson Nano or Xavier NX on it.
