Auvidea Supports NVIDIA Jetson Thor Platform as Carrier Board Manufacturer

Denklingen, Germany — August 21st, 2025 — Auvidea, proudly announces its support for the newly released NVIDIA Jetson Thor, NVIDIA Jetson T5000 module. This initiative underscores Auvidea’s commitment to advancing cutting-edge technologies in the field of physical AI and humanoid robotics.
Powered by an NVIDIA Blackwell GPU and featuring 128GB of memory, Jetson Thor delivers up to 2070 FP4 teraflops of AI compute to effortlessly run the latest generative AI models — all within a 130-watt power envelope. Compared with its predecessor, NVIDIA Jetson Orin™, Jetson Thor delivers up to 7.5x higher AI compute and 3.5x greater energy efficiency.
“Supporting NVIDIA’s latest innovation, the Jetson Thor, aligns perfectly with our mission to push the boundaries of what is possible in the realm of AI and edge computing,” says Oliver Stelbrink, CTO, at Auvidea.
The first Carrier Board X242 for the NVIDIA Jetson T5000 module is optimized for highest performance, maximum efficiency and also cost efficiency. Notably, the Thor maintains the same form factor as previous models like the AGX Orin and Xavier, but offers more interfaces for enhanced connectivity. Although it provides fewer PCIe lanes compared to its predecessors, these lanes now support PCIe Gen 5 (32Gbit per lane), making them faster and more efficient. The outstanding efficiency of the X242’s power architecture, achieving over 98% efficiency, is a result of an innovative power supply design with large power reserves (up to 300W) to ensure it can handle the demands of even the most ambitious applications. This power supply uses GaN (Gallium Nitride) MOSFETs.
It supports two native low power 10GbE ports (based on RTL8127), one HDMI, one USB 3.2 Gen 2×1 Type-A, and four USB 3.2 Gen2x1 Type-C. Three of them support DP Alt Mode for one-cable connection with touch screens. Additionally, it offers a M.2 Key M for NVME SSDs (PCIe x2 Gen 5), one M.2 Key B for 5G cards (USB 3.2 Gen 2×1), one 2.4/5GHz WIFI (LM843), a 16 lane CSI-2 camera connector (compatible with P3762), a PCIe x16 connector (x8 Gen 5 supported), and a 24V to 48V power input (with a 3.81mm pluggable and locking terminal connector with hot plug protection).
Prototypes of the X242 will be available in October 2025.
